Accident with
entrapment on Manor Rd.

Today just before 15:00 today the
company along with the 34 (Martins
Corner), Medic 93 (BWH) and QRS49 were
dispatched to the 1200 Block of Manor Rd
for the accident with entrapment. Upon
arrival of Squad 35 (Chief Ziegler)
found a four vehicle accident with
entrapment in one car. A male driver
was trapped by the drivers side door,
Rescue 35 arrived shortly after the
Chief and went to work. Chief Ziegler
established Manor Rd. command and the
crew from Ambulance 34-1 assessed the
other victims while the Medic from 93
worked with the crew from Rescue 35 in
removing the driver. Crews made short
work of removing the door and assisting
with patient care, QRS 49 arrived and
assisted with patient care and loading
the patient into the ambulance. Engine
35 arrived and pulled extinguishers for
fire protection at the scene. Ambulance
34-1 transported the subject to a local
hospital, and West Brandywine PD handled
the investigation. Crews cleared the
scene in under an hour.
